Style Guide
Target tone
Academic, precise, restrained, and non-promotional.
Paragraph style
Use compact paragraphs that make one clear point at a time. Prefer clarity over rhetorical flourish.
Section-writing style
Open each section by stating its purpose, then develop only evidence-backed or clearly marked placeholder content.
Citation discipline
Only cite real sources. If a citation is missing, add TODO: rather than a placeholder reference.
Wording to avoid
Avoid hype, certainty without support, vague novelty claims, and marketing language such as “revolutionary,” “game-changing,” or “best-in-class.”
How to mark uncertainty
Use phrases such as “working placeholder,” “provisional framing,” or TODO: when the concept is not yet settled.
How to mark missing evidence
Use TODO: add source, TODO: verify claim, or TODO: support with empirical evidence.
